Happy 2007!!!

We celebrated Christmas Eve dinner at Papa Manuel’s and Mama Elisa’s home. Christmas morning we celebrated Jesus’ birthday at our parish, and in the afternoon we joined Edwin, Mary Ann, David and Edwin’s staff at the beach, and watched some sunset views. Post-Christmas, Fanny took a trip to spend the holidays with her family.

New Year’s Eve was celebrated with afternoon coffee with our best man Paul, a family dinner at Lantaka Hotel, then we went back home to watch the fireworks from our bedroom window (the perks of living in an apartment building – great fireworks viewpoint!). As we looked back at our year, we remembered and prayed for family and friends near and far, thankful for the gift of their presence in our lives.

Truly, we are grateful for the blessings received, especially this bundle of life and joy we are expecting soon! J We’re reminded of a line from Once on This Island, where Ti Moune sings she is “Waiting for life to begin…” We are waiting for a new aspect of our life – parenthood! – to begin, and we have an exciting 2007 ahead of us. We wish everyone a bright, blessed, grace-filed year ahead! J
